Human Rights Protection

Sustainability and integrity are the fundamental principles of Pukka. We control the entire value chain from "mine to market", hence we are actively involved in the sourcing of all our diamonds and colour stones. We ensure that the most stringent ethical standards are implemented within all the mines that we work with. We also promote and insist on employee and gender equality, fair treatment, clean and safe working conditions and we also offer medical and life insurance to all our employees. This enables us to ensure full compliance, fair trade and fair compensation for all our raw materials. We then focus on extending this culture through the production process ensuring an equitable and honest supply chain.

At Pukka, we guarantee that all our mining follows the Best Practice Principles (BPP), which are a set of ethical standards that promote the highest and cleanest business conduct in the diamond industry. It is very important that our customers can wear our products relying fully on the ethical integrity, professional conduct and technical standards of the global best practices in the diamond value chain. Moreover, we are fully compliant with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS) that was established in 2003, by the UN General Assembly, to prevent the emergence of "conflict diamonds" from surfacing in the mainstream rough diamond market.

Improving Livelihoods and Empowering Communities

At Pukka we don't believe in corporate social responsibility (CSR), we believe in being a socially responsible corporate (SRC). This is because being responsible is part of our DNA, it is not just a way of giving back at the end of the financial year. Fair trade is only one step to ensuring this. We also provide jobs to local communities around our worksites and ensure they are compensated adequately and fairly for all their hard work while creating a safe, clean and friendly working environment. We, along with our partner companies, also invest in education, animal rehabilitation and giving subsidised medical treatments in the areas that we operate in. For more information about these initiatives, or if you would like to volunteer with us, please email us at

Once we have sourced our diamonds, they are cut and manufactured in-house to guarantee the highest levels of integrity, purity and most importantly, to ensure ethical, natural produce. We do not outsource any part of the production process. This allows us to have full accountability and traceability from "mine" to "market".

At Pukka, we take our sourcing seriously! If you would like to know more about our sourcing, production and value chain then please contact us at and we will be happy to share our Pukka Promise with you.
