How to make your wrist more sustainable

At Pukka Berlin, we take great pride in guaranteeing a transparent, ethical and sustainable supply chain. Because we control every stage of the value chain, we can guarantee fair conditions at every step of the way to your wrist. The majority of the materials we use are made from recycled gold. Old and broken pieces of jewellery are melted down into gold bars, which we then process into new jewellery. In addition, you can choose lab-grown stones for many of our diamond jewellery pieces. They are a sustainable alternative that allows you to reduce your ecological footprint to a minimum. If you are interested in learning more about this topic, check out our blog on Lab-Grown Diamonds. We are constantly trying to optimise our processes to ultimately achieve a CO₂-neutral manufacturing process.

The majority of our products are designed to perfectly complement your outfit for both casual occasions and elegant dinners. An example of this is our Jodhpur Bangle. On the one hand, it looks very playful, on the other hand, it presents itself very elegantly due to the deep blue, which is why it can be worn everywhere.

Our bangles are made of pure gold or of a 925 sterling silver core that has been coated with vermeil gold plating. This is the hardest gold plating, ensuring years of wear. We offer our jewellery in 14 and 18 carat versions, as well as in three different colours: white, yellow and rose gold. The main ingredient in all products is gold. In the case of rose gold, a copper component gives the gold its characteristic colour. White gold, on the other hand, which was only invented 100 years ago, gets its colour from a combination of palladium, nickel, tin and silver, making it the hardest gold.

Yes, besides the different meanings that each stone has, they are said to have different effects. The gemstones we mainly use are diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Diamonds, because of their great hardness, symbolise strength and eternity. They stand for cohesion and are said to strengthen character. Due to their red colour, rubies have been an expression of love and passion for centuries. The healing effect of rubies is said to be great, which is why they were used to fight many diseases. Sapphires in their many colours symbolise peace, purity and tranquillity. They are also said to have a calming effect on the nerves and soothe the mind. Green emeralds stand for loyalty and vitality. They are said to have numerous effects. They help with migraines, but also have a rejuvenating effect.
