What is a Promise Ring?

A promise ring is a piece of jewelry with great symbolic meaning for the hand of your loved one. It stands for a personal promise between two people. This promise can be very individual: mutual love and loyalty, the goal of staying together for the long term or simply the appreciation of a special connection. Promise rings are particularly popular with couples who want to show their commitment in a personal and stylish way. It does not necessarily have anything to do with getting married, but rather stands for connection, trust and as a symbol of mutual love. Many couples deliberately place it on the ring finger of their right hand to show that they are serious about each other, even if a marriage proposal is not yet imminent. It is particularly popular as a loving gift for anniversaries, Valentine's Day or as a silent sign in a long-distance relationship. Many also wear it as a modern love ring or friendship ring. The ring itself is often somewhat simpler than an engagement ring. Delicate, elegant and suitable for everyday wear. We offer Promise rings made from precious materials such as 925 Sterling silver, gold-plated on request, as well as 14k / 18k gold in yellow, rose or white or 950 platinum. A beautiful ring becomes a real symbol of your shared history.

What is the difference to an engagement ring?

Although both rings have a deep emotional meaning, they differ in their symbolism: the engagement ring classically stands for the concrete promise of marriage. It marks a clear step on the way to the wedding. A promise ring, on the other hand, is often an earlier, freer sign of commitment. There is also often a visual difference. While the engagement ring usually stands out due to its eye-catching designs with diamonds or solitaire, the promise ring remains more discreet and is therefore a beautiful alternative to the engagement ring for many couples. A promise ring symbolizes: "You mean more to me than words can say", without any social pressure. It suits people who want to celebrate their relationship in their own unique way, regardless of whether a proposal is planned or not.
