Platinum as a precious metal - comparison with gold and silver

Different precious metals have different properties, so platinum differs greatly from gold and silver in some factors. The purity of platinum is the highest compared to other metals, as platinum carries the number 950, which means that it consists of 95% pure platinum, making it hypoallergenic. It is very resistant and there is hardly any wear and tear, resulting in hardly any scratches on the surface. The precious metal is rarer than gold and silver, which makes it particularly valuable. There are some differences between platinum and gold, as gold can have different shades of color due to different alloys and can therefore be white gold, yellow gold and red gold. However, gold is softer than platinum and is only strengthened by the alloy. Silver is cheaper than platinum, but can tarnish and oxidize, which cannot happen with gold and platinum. Silver is therefore more suitable for fashion jewelry and platinum for engagement rings or wedding rings, as the silver finish is also present in platinum, but the pieces of jewelry are more robust and can withstand more everyday wear.

Platinum and diamonds as the perfect combination for timeless wedding rings

High-quality platinum wedding rings are the ideal way to incorporate diamonds into your piece of jewelry in a luxurious way. The precious metal has a high steel strength, as it reflects light better than gold, for example, and therefore makes diamonds appear much brighter. Platinum also has a high level of security as it holds gemstones securely in place thanks to its resistant setting. Platinum rings also underline the purity and value of a diamond with their cool silver colour. Platinum also offers many different designs and applications for diamonds. For example, a single diamond can lend timeless beauty to a simple platinum ring, while a continuous diamond setting can symbolize eternal love. Pukka Berlin stands for filigree patterns and designs, which you can incorporate into the long-lasting rings according to your wishes. You can also choose minimalist designs and have your rings made smooth, matt or polished to create subtle accents. Platinum is characterized by its shimmering silver hue and longevity, making platinum engagement rings an ideal way to guarantee the durability of your rings. Platinum is also very useful if you have sensitive skin, as platinum is hypoallergenic and therefore won't bother you in everyday life.
