What is the difference between natural and laboratory-grown diamonds?

Natural diamonds grow under great pressure and high temperatures for millions of years. Lab-grown diamonds are cultivated in our own laboratories in a climate-neutral way by imitating the natural growth process in the CVD method. They have the same chemical properties as natural diamonds. Therefore the only way to determine whether a stone was grown in a lab, is by using special equipment in a laboratory. Who certifies your ethical diamonds?

The most common certification that is supposed to guarantee fair diamond mining is the Kimberley Process. Critical voices, however, believe that this certificate is often too easy to obtain. For this reason, we offer the alternative certification with IGI or GIA. Further, starting at a stone size of 0.5ct a certification with GIA or IGI is always included in the price. In case you want to be 100% certain, go with a lab-grown Diamond that is CO2 neutrally grown by us.
