At Pukka Berlin, we value pieces of jewelry that not only look good, but also feel good. For this reason, we use 100% recycled 14 and 18k gold in three different colors for our wedding rings, as well as a proportion of recycled 950 platinum. The rings are then handcrafted in our own factory in Bombay, under the direction of our co-founder Aalay. This not only ensures a fair and transparent supply chain and wage structure, but also allows us to use strict quality standards to produce what we believe are the perfect wedding rings for you. Personalizing them with an engraving is part of our concept and service. You can also contact us regarding other personalization options such as the width of the ring or the use of diamonds. Our wedding rings are also designed to sit particularly comfortably on the ring finger and are therefore particularly suitable for everyday wear. The different alloys for wedding rings

Have you always wondered what the meaning behind 14k and 18k gold and 950 platinum is? Then we have the answer for you. What is meant here is the alloying of pure gold with other metals. This is because pure gold is rarely used for jewelry in the jewelry industry, as it is very soft and therefore particularly susceptible to scratches and dents. A 14 carat gold ring, for example, would consist of 58.5% pure gold and 41.5% other metals such as silver or copper. For this reason, it is also called 585 gold. 18k gold, on the other hand, consists of 75% gold and 25% other metals, which is why it is higher quality and more expensive, but also somewhat softer. A 950 platinum wedding ring consists of 95% precious metal and only 5% other metals - one reason why it is so insensitive and therefore ideal for wedding rings. In addition, platinum wedding rings have the advantage of being hypoallergenic and therefore particularly allergy-friendly. Did you already know? Normally, personalized pieces of jewelry can only rarely be resized free of charge. You can see in the product details of the respective product whether resizing is still possible.

On which hand do wedding rings belong?

Nowadays, wedding rings can be worn on both hands, so you decide for yourself! Depending on the culture, wedding rings are worn on both the left and the right. In Germany, wedding rings are traditionally worn on the right, as they are in Poland and Austria. In many other European countries and the USA, wedding rings are worn on the ring finger of the left hand. However, none of this is a must.

Should spouses wear the same wedding rings?

We think this is clearly up to you. For example, there are classic wedding rings or those with diamonds - our bestsellers fall into both categories. Regardless of this, we always find it nice to have a unifying element in the wedding rings. For example, the common color rose gold or a free engraving that can be found in both rings.
