Determine ring size with ring
All you have to do is place a well-fitting ring on the ring template until you have a match.

To ensure that your ring fits your finger like a glove, you should consider the following when measuring:
- Choose the right finger: As the fingers of our strong hand are usually thicker than those of the others, it is important to measure exactly the finger on which the ring will later sit. It is also important to measure the ring that will fit or be worn on the desired finger.
- Measure in the evening: As our fingers get thicker during the day, it is advisable to measure the ring size in the evening.
- It's all about the temperature: As cold makes our fingers shrink, you should measure your ring size after you have been in the warm for a long time. Did you know? That's why our fingers are thicker in summer than in winter!
- Knuckles: Our knuckles are often thicker than the place where the ring will later sit. Therefore: measure the knuckle and, if in doubt, order the ring one size larger.
- Chucky or filigree: For chunky rings such as our Mota Chunky ring, we recommend ordering a size larger, while the unbalanced and filigree shape of an engagement ring, such as the Stardust Emerald ring, makes a tighter fit sensible. This prevents your ring from constantly twisting.
- Better safe than sorry: It is best to measure your finger on different days or with an additional method to achieve a much more accurate result before ordering.
When is a ring actually the right size?
Your ring will fit well if it is loose enough not to pinch and tight enough not to slip off your finger on its own. Try the shake test: if it still sits well on your finger after shaking your hand for a few seconds, it fits.
Ring template method with ring
The following method is particularly suitable if you have a ring that fits well but don't know what size it is. You will then know your ring size and can store with confidence in the future.
In addition to a well-fitting ring, you will also need our free template to download, a printer and a ruler or measuring tape.
Step 1: Download the ring template for free. Simply click here!
Step 2: Print out the template
To achieve an exact result, it is important to print the ring template in the correct size. Therefore, check that the scaling is set to 100 percent.
Step 3: Check printout
To make sure that the ring template has been printed in the correct size, you can take your ruler and measure one of the circles shown. If everything is correct, you're ready to go!
Step 4: Find ring size
Now place your ring on the template and see which circle matches the circumference of the ring. Now all you have to do is look up the printed millimeter number in our international ring size chart (on the last page of the guide) and you have your ring size!

Success with the Ringsizer
You can also use our ring template without a ring. On the third page you will find a free ring measuring tape to cut out. This makes it easy for you to determine your ring size!
You will need: a conventional printer, our ring template for PDF download, scissors, a ruler or measuring tape.
Instructions:
- First of all, you can download our guide here.
- Before you print it out, make sure that the page scaling is set to "100%".
- To ensure that the above test strip measures accurately, the ring template must be printed in the correct size. To check this, you can simply take your ruler and measure one of the circles on side 1. If the numbers match in mm, everything fits and you can continue.
- Now you can cut out the ringsizer and add a slit at "Cut here" (for example with a cutter or the pointed corner of the scissors).
- Then place the sizer around the desired finger with the writing facing outwards and pull the tip through the slit.
- If the ring sizer is neither too loose nor too tight and can still be slid over the knuckle, you can easily read off the ring size. Done!
